Students are getting settled in for the new academic year. One of the pitfalls of those empty houses over the long summer however is the unwanted inhabitants which have been laying dormant, waiting for a blood host. Houses which may have a cat visit or live there may have fleas. The fleas can lay dormant for a number of weeks… awaiting a blood host. The vibrations of people moving around the property will entice out the fleas, causing nasty bites and irritation. This was just the case at a property I have just treated.
